VERONIKA OPITZ-BERRY PERPETUAL TROPHY

In honor of our beloved "V" whose dedication to horses and their riders will forever be an inspiration to us all.

This trophy is awarded to the High Point Junior/Young Rider in Levels 1-4. The trophy is a custom made, one-of-a-kind bronze sculpture by Pamela Orisek. This year only, the trophy will be awarded after Saturdays classes in a special ceremony with Veronika's husband, Greg Berry and the artist, Pamela Orisek. Greg is coming out from Colorado to award the trophy, since this is the inaugural year. In subsequent years, the trophy will be awarded on Sunday, along with the other SFP perpetual trophies.

Junior/Young Riders will accumulate points for Saturday classes according to the following point system:

First Place -- 5 points
Second Place -- 4 points
Third Place -- 3 points
Fourth Place -- 2 points
Fifth Place -- 1 point

The number of entries in each class will not impact the points.
Any classes from First through Fourth Level will count, with the exception of Freestyle classes.

The recipient will keep the trophy for a year, and will have the rider and horses name engraved. Veronique Gillard has offered to present winners of the trophy with a custom graphite drawing of their horse that they can keep.
