PETER LOMBARDI MEMORIAL PERPETUAL TROPHY
First Level, Test 1 This trophy, a silver vase, was donated by Susan Lombardi in memory of her beloved first horse, Peter, a chestnut standardbred/thoroughbred cross. Peter taught Susan to ride not once, but twice! After a serious paralyzing spinal injury in 1985, Peter helped Susan regain the use of her legs. Peter was one of the performers of the Osierlea Quadrille. He lived to the wonderful age of 37 and died on May 4, 1989. "He was my teacher."
