2007 Chapter Year in Review
Monthly board meetings, two strategic planning meetings, 15 Centerline Onlines, one printed Centerline, and an expanded chapter web site were only some of the many SFP Chapter activities in 2007.
Chapter shows included three one-star shows, on May 19 at the Horse Park, June 10 and Aug. 11 at Webb Ranch, and the two-day, three-star SFP 40th Annual Show at Webb Ranch.
SFP members participated in the May 12 Competition Clinic with Anne Howard at Webb Ranch, volunteered for the May 19-20 L Judge Program at the Horse Park, rode in and audited the June 10-11 Matt Brown Clinic at the Horse Park and Webb Ranch, the June 30 Competition Clinic with Tracey Hill at Webb Ranch, and participated in the June 30 Entry Form Q&A at the Competition Clinic.
Outreach activities included two chapter surveys: the annual survey in June/July, and the post-annual show competitor survey. SFP also participated again in the tri-chapter challenge.
Funds were raised at the June 3 Tack Sale at Webb Ranch. Tack that remained after the sale was donated to the victims of the Southern California wild fires. CafePress logo merchandise was available throughout the year, including special 40th anniversary show items.
The chapter will celebrate 2007 at the Dec. 10 holiday party and board meeting. Holiday gift sales of the 2008 chapter calendar and logo ornaments, along with other chapter merchandise, will continue to raise funds for chapter activities.
