Nominations for the SFP Chapter Board
Elections for the 2008 SFP Chapter Board are coming soon! A ballot will be mailed to all members in November to elect the 2008 board members for the SFP Chapter Board. Six board members will be elected, with three to serve one-year terms and three to serve two-year terms. Term lengths will be determined by the new board members for 2008, and subsequent annual elections will be for three board members who will serve two-year terms.
If you would like to nominate yourself as a candidate on the upcoming SFP Chapter Board ballot, please send your nomination and a brief bio by email to the Chair of the Nominations Committee, Wendy Mattes at wendy@wendymattes.com. Bios should be a short paragraph describing why you want to be an SFP Board member and what you can offer to the Chapter. Bios will be printed on the ballot. Nominations may be made from the floor at the Oct. 29th board meeting, provided that the nominee has agreed in writing to be nominated and has provided a bio.

Additional Committee Chairs may be appointed to head specific areas, such as Shows, Communications, Education, Volunteers, and other projects. Committee Chairs are not required to be board members as long as they are current SFP members. If you are interested in volunteering for SFP committees, let us know by emailing nanmeek@sbcglobal.net.
