I started riding at Webb Ranch when I was 9 years old and shortly after continued at Stanford Equestrian Center where I rode until I went to college. I started in hunters and jumpers. And then discovered something called EVENTING. I loved it, but an opportunity arose where I was able to ride and show an upper level dressage horse named Picarro. I did three Young Rider Trials with Picarro and then got my own horse Winergy that I showed in one Young Rider Trial and then finished training to Grand Prix. He retired last year at age 20 winning 2006 USDF American Hanoverian Society Grand Prix Champion with a 65.000% median. He also won the Regional and National USEF Silver stirrup Grand Prix and Grand Prix Freestyle Championships.
Currently I run my dressage training business out of Woodmyst Farms in Gilroy. I also have a few jumping/eventing students. I have three fantastic up and coming horses, Tasha, a seven year old Ferro/Rampal Dutch mare currently showing 3rd level, Fugitvo XII, a five year old Pura Raza Espanol (PRE) stallion owner by Shelly and Jim Lucero and currently showing 1st level, and Don Marco, a four year old Domiro/Fabrinano Hanoverian gelding currently showing Training Level.
I also have experience in organizing and running dressage shows, such as our Garlic Country Dressage Series we hold at Woodmyst, the Pebble Beach Dressage & Combined Training Series, and a couple series of Stanford Dressage. Currently I am heading the organization and planning the 2008 SPF Sponsored USDF “L” Judging Program.
